Henry's Party

Yesterday we had Henry's birthday party.  It was a small party but it was a lot of fun.  Rob's parents came up all day.  Rob, Rick and Paige went to a fishing derby here in town.  He said it was chaos!  Gail, Henry and I hung out and just got things ready around the house.  My mom came up around nap time.  All of us went and watched Paige play tball, then it was party time!

We grilled out and played inside since it couldn't decide if it was going to rain or not.  We had cake and opened presents.  It was a good time with family!!

Henry Turns 2!

Well my little man turned 2 on Thursday. He woke up and had a hard time understanding what was going on.  He kept saying it was Paige's birthday. We had to say no it's Henry's birthday.  Once the presents came out he understood what was going on.  The week was a mess with work, Paige starting swim lessons, and Henry's birthday.  Henry ended up spending the evening of his birthday with me at work while Rob took Paige to swim lessons.  He was spoiled by everyone I worked with.  He got to hang out, play ball, eat Taco John's all in all a pretty good day for him.

Henry is an amazing kid.  He's outgoing, independent, and motivated.  That kid when he wants to learn how to do something he'll figure it out.  He keeps us on our toes everyday.  I've been telling everyone I'm glad I had a boy second.  Paige is cautious, Henry doesn't even understand the meaning of that word.  He is my jumping, climbing go 100 mph boy, who will sit on my lap when he's scared.  But I don't remember life without him.  Today is the day we brought him home for the first time 2 years ago.  I remember Rob and I sitting in the hospital doing everything we could to get released before lunch.  It's been an adventure but an amazing one!!
