Craft Day!

Today I had craft day with Graham!!  It was so much fun to spend the entire day with her!  She helped me knock out every project I was planning on doing this entire maternity leave in one day.  We printed pictures for all of my frames above our desk.  She also helped me do all of the pictures for my project for Paige's wall.  Here is a picture of the projects.  I'm not done with Paige's yet, but I'm hoping to get it done tomorrow and on the wall.  So I'll send you another update!

Saturday we went on a mini vacation with the Sullivan's.  Our two families were off to the Omaha Zoo!  It was so much fun!  We got to the zoo around noon and it was NUTS.  The weather was amazing so I'm pretty sure everyone had the same idea we did.  We made it at the zoo till about 4 then we were off to the hotel.  When we got to the hotel the kids did some swimming and then it was up to our room for dinner and playing.  Paige had so much fun with her friends and it was nice to spend time with Graham and Pat.  Enjoy all of the pictures!!

Friday in the Country

Well last week I got a call from Gail.  She told me that Tyler and Sophie were going to be out at their house on Friday and didn't know if we wanted to come spend the day with them.  So Friday morning we packed up and headed to Newton.  Right when we got there we took pictures of the kids because they were all happy and in good moods.

Then we were off to the beach to burn off some steam.

Sophie and Tyler have no fear at all when it comes to that water.  Sophie will jump off the dock like crazy.  Paigey is a little more nervous about it.  This picture kills me.  We tried to to get Paige to jump holding hands with Sophie.  It didn't work.

Sophie and Paige decided they needed to dig a bathtub.  Lets just say I think Grammie did most of the digging and most of the filling it with water.  But Sophie was really taking a bath in it.  So funny!

After a lot of swimming, it was picnic lunch in the porch!

Then Grammie read stories to the girls before nap time.  

While Paige was sleeping and Sophie was resting, I got to hang out with Tyler alone with is something that I never get to do.  Gail, Tyler and I played a bunch of games.  We played Sorry!  I haven't played it forever and it was so much fun!!

Little Family Update

Not much to update around here.  I'm finishing up my last full week at home, I go back to work next week Wednesday.  I think it's going to be good for both Henry and I.  I'm getting a little stir crazy in our house.  I've visited work a couple of times and it's hard to not jump back in.  Yes I'll miss Henry, heck I still miss Paige almost everyday when I'm there.  I just know it's who I'm meant to be.  I'm for sure a working mom, I'm a better mom when I work.  I appreciate everything my kids do.  So I'm excited to get back into a routine, and to actually know what day of the week it is :).  Paige is so excited to have her brother at daycare.  She keeps asking me when he's going.  Here are some pictures of Henry I've taken this week.  We're off to the Omaha Zoo this weekend with my best friends Graham and Pat.  It's going to be fun to have all of the kids there.  We're staying in a hotel too so that the kids can go swimming.  I'm excited for our little mini vacation.  I'll post pictures when we get home!!

I have officially started back at running.  I shouldn't say I'm running much, but I'm back to trying.  Hoping to get back into all of my clothes that I love so much!  Day 1 DONE and now I just need to keep at it!

The Best Thing

This is the best part of my day.  Henry is now smiling when you talk to him!!  I finally caught one on camera.  He's been doing this for about a week or two, but it's much more often now.  He officially knows, Rob, Me, and Paige.  Anytime one of us talks he turns to us and smiles.  LOVE IT!!!  Enjoy my Henry's smiles.

Siblings

For those of you who always as me who my kids look like.  They look like each other!!  This is Henry at 5 weeks and Paige at 5 1/2 weeks!  They crack me up!

BACATION...THE DELLS!

Hello all!!  Sorry for the deal but as Paige puts it we've been on bacation.  We went to the Wisconsin Dells with my mom, sister and her family.  Heather and Tony have a time share at an amazing resort.  There were so many things to do!!  We left on Monday and got home last night.  We had a lot of fun.  Rob and I didn't get much sleep as we slept in a room with both of our kids.  Henry has a bit of a sensitive tummy so we were up early usually because he was gassy.  One of us would sit out in the living room trying to calm him down and get some sleep.  Paige had so much fun she didn't want to go home.  She was such a fish in the pool, Rob and I were shocked!!  I guess being around her cousins who are big fish that she just went right along with them.  Enjoy all of the pictures!!!

This is my favorite picture.  It came with my favorite quote of the trip.  We were on the drive there and about 10 mins out from meeting Heather and Tony.  Paige started to fall asleep coloring.  I told her to give me her marker and she told me no that she wasn't done coloring.  I explained to her that she was falling asleep.  She yelled at me and said I don't want to sleep.  I told her that I understood that but that she was falling asleep anyway.  So after I tried to take the marker again and we had the same conversation she looked at me and said, "Mom I'm not sleeping I'm just blinking" Mom, Rob and I were laughing so hard.  I told her that it was a pretty long blink.

Once we got there and got unloaded we decided to go down to the pool closest to our room.  It was GREAT for kids.

For those of you who don't' know my family, my niece broke her arm about a week before we were supposed to go.  She didn't let it slow her down at all.

When I saw her doing this I almost died.  She does NOT put her head under water or anything.

She also would jump to me.  She would tell me how far out to go and then would jump.  Sometimes I couldn't catch her and she would go under, but she did GREAT! (Thanks Uncle Ryan for working with her a couple days before!)

I went down the slide with Colin, so then Paige wanted me to go with her.

My mom and I found these cute skirts at Kohl's on crazy sale.  We decided they all needed them.

We went to one of the Hiatts favorite pizza places, it's calls Moosejaw.  All the kids got antlers!

The pizza place was also a microbrew.  Rob decided to do their 10 point sampler

Paige has been talking to me about riding a pony on vacation since we told her that we were going.  Heather informed me the horse back ride was an hour long.  Rob and I did NOT want to go on an hour long ride.  So luckily they had a carriage ride that was only 15 mins and FREE!  Paige thought it was so much fun!!

After we rode the horse we were off to the water park!!  They had a great kids area!  Rob, Tony, and Heather all rode this awesome water slide.  I chickened out.  Something about being put in a tube and the floor dropping our from under you scared the crap out of me!

The last full day it was cool in the morning.  I thought it was beautiful out, but a little chilly for water parks.  So we went to the petting zoo and around downtown Wisconsin Dells.

After nap time we were off to the water parks again!  We went to a new sprinkler park.

These three didn't want to separate at all and go home.  

We had so much fun!  Glad to be home and trying to get Henry adjusted to being back in our house.  He was around a lot of screaming girls this week.  Thank you Heather and Tony for sharing your time share!!
