Henry William Hartz is here!!! I'm sitting here writing this while he's getting a bath in my room. He is NOT happy about it :). He's here and I couldn't ask for a better day!! Our day started at the hospital at 5:15 AM. After getting all checked in we went through the entire process of surgery prep, IV, labs, monitoring, etc. I thought most of the time it went really quickly, but the last 15 mins was terrible! I have never been so anxious in my life. After walking down to the OR and saying good bye to Rob for a bit, I was in the OR with an entire room full of women doctors and nurses. They were the most entertaining people I have ever been around. Once they got me ready then Rob was back in there at my side. We chatted through the beginning of the surgery. The minute they said he had a full head of hair we both went YES!! Then they continued to pull him out and the HE'S HUGE started. Henry weighs in at a whopping 9 lbs 5.9 oz!!! Now I was 9 lbs 3 oz but I was almost 2 weeks late. This little man was 3 days early!! I can't imagine if I went to a full 40 weeks. So his stats are 9 lbs 5.9 oz and 20 inches long. So he is basically a pound and a half bigger then Paige but 1 inch shorter.
Here are some pictures from right after he was born.
After we made it back to our room and all of the post op stuff was done, then Grandma Greta, Papa Gary, and Grandma Pat were able to come in and meet him. I am missing a lot of pictures, but the Grandma's got quite a few. I'll get with them later. We called Grandma Gail and Papa Rick to let them know that everything was ok and to tell Paigey her brother was here. She got so excited. So they came up right away. Paige just sat in my bed and held him. She loves him so much and it's so cute!! Now everyone is gone and we're just enjoying the down time. I think I'll be going to bed early.

My recovery has been really good so far. I feel actually really well. I had a few minor side effects from having a spinal this time instead of an epidural. But nothing terrible. They do plan on trying to get me at least standing up today. I can't believe he's here and we start moving forward with our life. It's going to be amazing!! He is such a relaxed baby. He just hangs out and sleeps. He's starting to get the hang of eating. I'm pumping and bottle feeding again this time. So he's had some formula today because he had to have his blood sugar checked 3 different times. Apparently babies his size have to have it done as they can burn their sugars faster then normal babies. He has passed all 3 of those today and they wont check him again.
Rob and I couldn't be more proud. He looks more and more like Paigey as the day moves forward.
Thank you to everyone for all of the emails, text messages and phone calls. I couldn't return all of them but I felt very loved the last couple days! Thank you!! Pictures will continue as we're in the hospital till Friday. So I'll keep them coming. LOVE YOU!!
