Photo Dump and All Things Random

Where do I even begin?  You'll see by these pictures we've been very busy.  Trying to enjoy every nice day that we can.  A lot going on in our life besides Rob and I both working too much.  Please enjoy all of the pictures from the last couple months!!

The theme of spring was bikes.  Henry was given a hand me down bike from my best friend.  That kids would live on it!

This girl got a new bike for her birthday.  She wasn't riding w/out training wheels.  So we worked on that on her old bike.  This was a mom job as Rob and Paige don't work too well in competitive or stressful situations.  I wouldn't say I do a good job of keeping my cool either but Paige and I communicate pretty well during these times.  Well in a matter of 2 weeks she went from not being able to ride to riding on her brand new bike alone.  She is loving the freedom.  We keep working on the little things, soon she'll come riding while I go running!

This kid are her fruit but you can't be mad at it!

A few weeks ago we took some friends to Rick and Gail's for a little fishing.  Oh man those kids had a great time!  The weather was great except for the wind.

The end of April we went on a family trip to KC.  We were down there to celebrate Rob's cousin and his wife and their upcoming baby!  Of course there was swimming to be done in the hotel pool!

Then over Mother's Day weekend our tradition continued with hanging out with these amazing people.  I met most of them when I was in 7th grade, love having this much history with friends!

On Mother's Day my boys cleaned out my car and washed it!

Two weeks ago Rob, my mom, and I painted my entire main floor.  We worked our tails off!!  But man does it feel amazing.  I feel like Rob and I finally have an adult relaxing room.

This weekend Rob is enjoying himself in St. Louis with his Dad and brother Ryan.  The boys are treating Rick for his retirement.  They are having a blast!!  The kids and I have been busy busy.  Friday night they went with me to meet up with some work friends.  We did a biggest loser competition at work and Mandy (my amazing cake friend) lost over 12% of her body weight during our competition.  Of course that is 100% worth celebrating!

On the way home we stopped at DQ for ice cream.  Henry told me that he didn't want anything.  Silly Mom for actually believing him.  Yep that's my ice cream and he ate all of it.

My mom and Gail joined us for Tball Saturday morning.  Paige was pretty excited to have 2 grandmas there to watch her.  Henry has to either be in the dugout or right by the fence cheering on his sister.  He can't wait to have his turn out on the field.

We then were off to the Quad Cities to celebrate my nephew Colin's birthday!  My kids had so much fun.  Colin and Henry are just little buddies when they get together.  Tony and I coached a baseball game in the side yard.  Tony pitched to all of the kids and I 3rd base coached since we had some gusty kids wanting to just run home all of the time.  My kids both hit the ball with no tee and were super proud!  Always nice to get to spend time with my family.  Paige slept most of the car ride home and Henry of course held on for all he could.

Today has been a great day as well.  I'm finally getting to work on some craft stuff and relax a bit.  We hope all is well with all of you.  I'll try and do a better job of blogging.  We've got a busy some as usual coming up.

Paige Swimming and T-Ball

Paige continues to be involved in activities.  She did private swim lessons again this spring and LOVED them.  She has grown so much in swimming.  Her teacher told me that she's going to be fast.  We'll have to see how that pans out as she gets older!

A couple of weeks ago we started tball.  Paige is still loving it.  She wants to be hitting the ball not off a tee, but we'll get there.  Rob has volunteered to help out with her team.  I thought this was going to fail terribly but it's actually going really well!

Paigey is 6!

I can't believe I haven't blogged about Paige's birthday yet!  Where have I been?  Well about 2 months ago my sweet Paigey turned 6. and now she's almost done with Kindergarten.  We celebrated her birthday by starting with cinnamon rolls!  Of course I had to make them into a 6 because who doesn't need cinnamon rolls shaped like a 6!

While those were baking we went and opened presents.  She is starting to get into barbies a bit, so we had to get her collection upgraded.

In our house when it's your birthday you get to pick dinner.  Paige picked Buffalo Wild Wings!

Then the following Saturday we did a first...we hosted our first friend party for Paige.  We went to a local place to paint pottery.  We had so much fun that day.  Rob and I laughed so hard, because to have that many 6 year olds in one room was awesome!  3 of the kids at the party we've known since they were babies at daycare and one of them was Paige's first friend she made in Kindergarten.

We also decorated cupcakes (Please know I did not come up with these ideas on my own.  Pinterest is an amazing thing)  This also just turned into who can eat the most candy.

This is Hudson, Paige and him have been together since they were 1.  They go to different schools now, but we still hang out with them!!

These kids were so crazy on sugar that it was hard to get them all to take a photo.  She's made some amazing friends so far in life.  I can't wait to see where they all go in life.

We then went home took some naps and got ready for family to come up to celebrate!  Kristin (Our Sister-in-law) and Tyler and Sophie were able to come and celebrate with us this year!!

My amazing friend and co-worker Mandy made Paige's cake again.  She was loving the idea of an art party and went all out!!

The cake was even rainbow on the inside!!!

We had an amazing day with friends and family.  Paige has grown up so much since going to school.  She is one of my favorite people to hang out with.  She's smart, witty, and so loving.  That little girl has a bright future a head of her and Rob and I couldn't be more proud!!
