Florida Vacation!!

Early in June we went to Florida with Rob's family. This was a big trip! My kids flew on their first plane and got to go to Disney for the first time. This is a MAJOR photo dump and I'll try and add captions to them so you know what's going on. We spent a week down in Orlando staying at a house 15 mins away from Disney. It was an amazing house with all kinds of room for all of us. We did Sea World and Magic Kingdom and then our family did Universal Studios to go to Harry Potter World!!

First flight means first flight delay, but at least we got some dinner.

First morning in the pool! Also when we decided the kids were probably going to eat most meals while in the pool, who cares it's vacation! This kid became a fish on this vacation. It has happened to both of my kids. We go on one vacation and all of a sudden they are swimming under water and going after dive sticks. Paige is was Arkansas with my family and Henry was this trip to Florida.

First park was Sea World. Holy crap was it hot that day. Thankful for refillable cups at the park and worth every penny. The kids road rides, saw shows and sweated our butts off.

These kids sat in the splash zone at the orka show and were SOAKED.

 A couple days later our family went to Universal. We went straight to Harry Potter World and had a blast. We were able to get into one of the first wand ceremonies at Olivandar's, we road the Hogwarts Express both ways. I would go back to this park with or without my kids haha.

This dragon is an iconic part of the park, it was so cool to see. What we didn't realize was that he breaths fire. We were waiting in line and he started growling, then all of a sudden a giant ball of fire came out of his mouth. Needless to say we all jumped and Henry FREAKED. 

The wands the kids got were awesome. There were different parts in the park where they would do spells and see things move. 

Went to the candy shop to get some treats! Henry had a chocolate wand and Paige got a chocolate frog. These were awesome, they come with a card of a famous wizard. What we didn't know is it's solid chocolate and it was 90 some degrees outside.

We then went and checked out some of the rest of Universal Studios. This is in the Jurassic Park area.

Then a couple days later and it was Disney time. My niece and nephew, Sophie and Tyler, have been there quite a few times so they had their plans. They did a good job of pumping my kids up to get there!

This kid is why I workout. This was before we even got to the tram to get from the parking lot to the monorail. He was having a bad morning and I think he was just exhausted.

Like I said....bad morning...Look at Henry's face!! Pretty sure this is going to be our Christmas card.

We then were able to meet Stitch. This is my niece Sophie's most favorite character ever. This is the ONLY character Henry would meet. After stitch he said no thanks to everyone else.

The kids wanted to ride the Dumbo ride...well then none of them wanted to ride with Kristin and I. Nothing cooler then 2 moms riding the Dumbos together!!

Who needs to get autographs in your book when you can just draw pictures in it instead.

This is Henry's first rollercoaster! This smile did not last long and man was he ready to get off after that.

We then went home and took naps to get ready to go back that night. I didn't get many pictures at night because we split up, some saw the fireworks, some road one set of rides, and us girls road one rollercoaster 4 times in a row LOL.

Rob took the kids on a ride called the people mover, It is a monorail above the park and thought it would be a good way to keep them entertained late at night. They said it was the best ride they have road haha

I love this picture so much! We all look tired and it was a long day, but man this is the best picture. No one would guess it was taken at midnight!

Then back to Henry and I's usual position. We had monorail issues so we stood in this line for a LONG time. It was midnight they were all exhausted and it was rough. 

The rest of the non park days were spent in the pool. We were in our pool at our house usually all morning and in the evenings. We spent the afternoons at the big pool in the housing development. We road the slide and lazy river so many times. We all swam and swam, it was so good!

The flight home was a lot less eventful as the flight there. Everyone was exhausted but man did they have a good time!!
