A Day Outside

Well for those of you not in Iowa, we have had an unseasonably warm spring so far.  As you can tell by the pictures my daughter is in a tank top and shorts on April 1st.  Sunday was almost 90 degrees so we thought we would take advantage of it and get outside.  We played and played and even got to spend some time w/ our old duplex neighbors/friends Brittney and Justin.

PS - You'll see in the pictures Paige playing and dunking the basketball.  Rob is prepping her for her future.  We went to the doctor today and found out she is 35.5 inches tall.  She is going to be one tall girl when she's older, guess she's not a Vander Waal/Van Zee
Half of these toys came from her birthday, she's not spoiled or anything

Kristin Hartz these are for you....here she is playing basketball!

Thank you Britt for taking this amazing picture of me and my little girl!!  I LOVE IT!!

Paigey at church

Some of you know but we have finally found a church to join.  We are so thankful to have this as a part of our life.  Paige loves going to church.  Rob rolled his eyes at me when I took this picture, but Paige thought she was a big girl and didn't need either of us to go up front with her for the children's moment.  But she marched up front for Palm Sunday and collected her palm.  She didn't really want to walk around the church though w/out Mom and Dad.  She was so proud of herself!  Thought I would share this picture with all of you!

Paige Noelle Hartz is 2!!

First off, thank you for all the kind emails and messages about my last blog.  I was feeling sappy that day and just wanted to share it with everyone.  I truly enjoy this blog and sharing our little world with everyone.

Ok!  Well Saturday Paige turned 2!  She woke us up bright at early and was ready to start the day.  She opened her presents from us right away in the morning.  My mom came up before the party to keep Paige busy in case I had some last minute cooking to do or needed to shower.  Then all of our family came and we had a party.  Paige had an absolute blast!  She didn't get a nap until about 2:00 which is 2 hours later then she normally goes to bed and if you know our kid she loves her schedule.  So needless to say the rest of the was a little rough for us.  But enjoy all of the pictures!!

Love Our Bike Rides

Well by popular demand, here are pictures of Paige actually in her bike trailer about to go on a ride.  She loves her helmet and of course we always have a riding partner with her.  Please notice the cabbage patch doll in the 2nd picture.  Also just some more pictures of her enjoying the park.

2 years ago today

Well 2 years ago today it was my due date.  I would have already been to the doctor and already told that I was no where near going into labor.  I would have already road the elevator with Rob crying because I just didn't think I could make it another week before they induced me.  I would probably be about ready to update our shutterfly site to all of you wonderful people telling you that I was no where near having a baby.  Listening to my Mom, sister and a ton of friends telling me that no one is pregnant forever and that Rob and I should go out on a date because it might be our last night as a parent.  Which our date consisted of going out to eat and walking around the block as many times as I could.  Well little did I know I would be in labor that night and this beautiful little girl pictured below would come into my life.

I can't believe she's going to be 2 tomorrow.  I'm at home today from work preparing for her birthday party with all of our families tomorrow.  I had a moment to sit down between the baking, cleaning, etc and I thought where did the last 2 years go?!  2 years ago there was snow on the ground and it's supposed to be 82 degrees tomorrow here in Iowa.  2 years ago we were living in our duplex just glad to be out of my Mom's, now we are blessed and so thankful for our amazing house and all of the space that comes with it.  These last 2 years have been the best 2 of my life.  Paige has completely changed Rob and I's world, and many times thrown it upside down.  But I wouldn't change any of it!

Wanted to give a quick thank you to all of our family, friends, and co-workers who listen, give advice, and get excited about all the things we talk about.  Especially lately with all of the potty training, terrible 2s, ear infections, and random sicknesses.  We love you all so much and couldn't have done a lot of this with out your love and encouragement.

PS - I will make sure to do a birthday party update as soon as possible and don't worry there will be a TON of pictures!

Some fun at the pond

When we went to pick up Paige after our night out for Rob's birthday we hung around all day and got some good beach time and fishing in.  We also got to hang out with Great Grandpa Hartz and Rob's brother and sister in law and kids.  Enjoy all of the pictures!!

This isn't her first fish, but it's the first one we got her to stand by to have her picture taken

Doesn't every little girl play in the pond, sand and dirt in dresses?  The Hartz girls do!

This is what happens!

After bath time fun

I will explain why my daughter is only in her undies.  We got out of the bath and found out Ryan caught a HUGE catfish.  So we just ran down the hill to see the fish.  Paige wanted Tyler to hold her hand to walk her back up.

Enjoying some ice cream to celebrate Rob's birthday.  Both of them are shoveling it in.

Robby turns 30!!!

Well I can't believe it but last Saturday Rob turned 30!  According to Rob he felt like he was 30 the minute Paige was born.  But last Saturday we were able to spend the day together baby free (Thank you Rick and Gail!!)  We went and saw the movie The Hunger Games, did a little shopping and the headed downtown.  We got a hotel room at the Embassy Suites downtown with some friends and had a blast.  We met up with 9 of our friends for dinner at an amazing restaurant!!  It was so fun to go out to eat and hang out with some amazing friends we haven't seen in awhile.  Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate Rob turning 30!!  Now we're ready to celebrate our little girl turning 2, but that is for another blog!
