Well today we celebrated Henry turning one with the friends and family that could make it. Apparently Henry was again so excited that he got up at 5:30 AM. So by the time people started showing up at my house I felt like it was the longest morning ever. Rob and I had our hands full keeping these two entertained as well as finishing up all of the food. We were pretty excited when Grandma showed up to our house. That just added another pair of hands.
In the morning we played in a tent in our basement. We haven't had this out since Paige was probably 2. Henry thought it was crazy!!
So this party was supposed to be a good old fashion summer cookout. The weather had a different plan for us. It decided to POUR through the entire party. So our cookout turned into just hanging out at our house, but it was still great! We grilled out burgers (Thank you Rob for grilling in the rain). After everyone was done eating it was cake time. Now most babies would be covered in frosting. Henry wants every ounce of every piece of junk food that he eats. So he wasn't that messy.

Then of course it was present time!! Henry could care less about this. But his older sister of course would love to help!! So Paigey helped me unwrap all of the presents.

| My nephew Derek was laying on the floor so Henry decided to join him |

So we decided to have another cupcake. Cupcake round #2 was a lot messier then cupcake #1. But he enjoyed it so much!!
Random tidbits of knowledge for everyone. June 7th was actually my due date for Henry. Also June 7th is the day we brought him home from the hospital. Rob and I were talking at dinner about how tired we were from hosting everyone. We were trying to figure out if we were more tired when we came home from the hospital a year ago or tonight from hosting his first birthday party. Either way he's one of the best things that has happened to us. Thank you to all of you who were able to come and celebrate with us. It was so nice to be surrounded by friends and family.
