Well I'm sitting here writing this blog wondering if I'll actually post it. I found the picture on the left on my phone today so I decided to take the picture on the right. Please ignore the fact that I'm in the work bathroom in both pictures :). As most of you know I have been in a battle with weight probably my entire life, I'm up and I'm down. After having Paige I was at a point I have never been before. I will never forget going jean shopping with my mom and her telling me we're not here to look at the numbers we're here to just find pants that fit. As all first time mom's do I was adjusting to working, having a baby, living in our tiny duplex, STRESS!! Well we closed on our house the end of July last summer and the picture on the left was taken Aug 1. At that point I had a friend who was being very successful at losing weight and was highly encouraging me to take a hold of my life and do the same thing, I had no excuses because she had just had TWINS and already had a toddler as well. So I started tracking everything I ate, and working out. I also invested in a BodyBugg which I would suggest everyone using if they need help getting a jump start, it's totally worth the money.
Well it's been a slow journey and I still have 5-6 lbs to get to my goal weight. But I am officially 20 lbs down. I have started a running program which most of you know I have never ran a day in my life. I used to say if I had to run for my life that would NOT be a good thing. I am officially fitting into clothes that almost a year ago I would have told you I could never wear again. I have lost all of my baby weight and then some. I have a huge goal of continuing to run while pregnant the next time and hoping I never see the numbers on the scale that I did. Most of you would say I've been to hard on myself and to be honest with you I know I have been. Until I looked at these pictures I couldn't see a different in myself when I looked in the mirror. I would get dressed in the morning excited something new would fit, Rob would tell me how much of a difference there is but I couldn't see it. I put these pictures side by side and I'm still sitting here staring at them thinking NO WAY! I don't normally do anything like this to bring attention to myself or my weight but I'm so proud of the work I have put in I wanted to share it with you my family and close friends.
Thank you to all of you who have supported me, listened to be complain, and helped keep me motivated. Thank you Jenn for making me get my butt up and do something about it. Thank you Graham and Pat for getting married to give me a goal haha because you know I couldn't have done this just for the heck of it! Love you all!!
